On Friday, June 29, Chancellor Charles Manning spoke to the annual convention of the Tennessee Press Association at its meeting in Memphis. His remarks were focused on what needs to happen in Tennessee to produce a better educated and more highly skilled workforce that will enable the state to compete in an increasingly globalized economy. His remarks were a subset of a longer speech on the same theme.
