Admissions and Cost Information
As a general rule, TBR universities require entering freshmen who are under 21 to have a minimum grade point average or a minimum score on the ACT or SAT test. At community colleges, only a high school diploma is required, although ACT tests are required for placement purposes. And at Tennesee Technology Centers, students are not required to have completed high school. The "admissions" links below will take you to the institution's admissions home page.
In terms of cost, tuition and fees are set by the Tennessee Board of Regents, but they vary from one institution to another. The basic tuition and fees are shown in this chart. But tuition and fees are only the beginning--students also have to pay for housing, food, transportation, books, and incidentals. Information on the total cost of attendance at each of our institutions that have that information on their websites can be accessed by clicking on the "cost of attendance" links. Some institutions do not provide that information on their website, and you will need to contact them directly.
