Robert Pepper

Mr.  Robert Pepper was appointed to the Tennessee Board of Regents by Governor Bill Haslam to serve as the non-voting  Faculty Regent for 2018-2019.

Mr. Pepper is a Machine Tool Technology instructor for the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Whiteville, where he has served since 2014. Prior to joining the TCAT, he worked for several years as a machinist, toolmaker, CNC programmer, and supervisor for manufacturing companies in Hardeman, Madison, Chester, and Shelby Counties in West Tennessee.

Native to Jackson, Pepper moved to Nashville to attend Belmont University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Studies. After college, he served four years in the U.S. Army as part of the 25th Infantry Division based in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2004-2005. After completing his military service, Pepper returned to West Tennessee and attended TCAT Jackson earning his Machinist 1 diploma in 2008.=

He currently resides in Whiteville with his wife and daughter.
