A graduate of East Tennessee State University, Fansler is President and East Tennessee Market Manager of First Tennessee Bank in Knoxville.  She is also a graduate of the Southeastern School of Banking and the LSU Graduate School of Banking.  She has 32 years of experience in the financial services industry beginning with Valley Fidelity Bank and Trust Company and continuing with First Tennessee after its acquisition of Valley Fidelity in 1991. 

Fansler is a current board member of Covenant Health, the Fort Sanders Foundation and the Knoxville Symphony.  Also, she is a member of the Executive Women's Association, the University of Tennessee's Chancellor's Associates and the Nominating Committee for the Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council. 

She was immediate past chairperson of the Knoxville Area Chamber Partnership and past chair for the Maryville College Knox County Community Campaign.  Past board involvement includes United Way, Leadership Knoxville, East Tennessee Economic Development Agency,  YMCA of East Tennessee, Girl Scouts of Tanasi Council and Friends of Literacy.
