Secondary Electrical Upgrades Project addresses all aspects of designing and overseeing construction of the replacement and reconnection of all campus secondary electrical services fed by an existing Tennessee State University 4160V electrical system to new NES owned 13KV distribution system. This includes replacing secondary main switchgear on the existing 4160V system, reconnecting to new medium voltage utility owned 13kv distribution system transformers secondary and demo of the now unused 4160V feed. The secondary work includes all related systems (generators, switchboards, panelboards, feeders, existing circuit reconnection, secondary conduit and conductors, metering equipment). The design will be coordinated with Nashville Electric Service and TSU to define and schedule shutdowns and interruptions ensuring the campus critical and safety systems stay online to accommodate campus operation. Preferred requirements: 1) experience with major electrical upgrades of a large scale university or corporate campuses.2) experience planning and coordinating large scale work with electrical utility and end client for scheduling and planning shutdowns and construction to minimized shutdowns of campus operations. 3) Prefer designer with direct experience with NES and or TSU. This is the first phase of a multi-phase project with authorization up to $19,950,000 MACC. |
