What We Do

The Office of Policy and Strategy analyzes and develops policies to promote student success. Through research and policy analysis, we aim to understand TBR data and to turn that data into actionable information. This includes work about co-requisite remediation, Tennessee Promise and Reconnect, advising, dual enrollment, and the colleges of applied technology (TCATs). In this work, Policy and Strategy serves the efforts of Academic Affairs, Organizational Effectiveness, and Student Success.

Four Tennessee community colleges are in implementing self-designed pilot plans for “Reimagining the Community College Experience” – a Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) initiative to improve student success through more extensive career exploration, career advising and a workforce-focused certificate in a student’s first semester.
