Department of Human Resources 

The Department of Human Resources is a unit of the Office of Business and Finance. In support of the TBR overall strategic plan and its mission of teaching, research, and public service, the Department of Human Resources advocates for and provides superior, innovative, ethical, and responsive services and benefits to attract, motivate, and retain a talented, diverse, and committed workforce. The role of the Department of Human Resources is to reach out to managers, build bridges and gain employee trust.

HR provides management and oversight of employee services, benefits, and personnel policies and procedures and is responsible for the following major functional areas for the TBR system and the central office:

HR Services: Benefits, employee relations, recruitment, classification, salary administration, and performance management.

HR Programs: Decentralized system-wide processing, compliance with state and federal laws, policy development, work/family issues, HR-related emergency preparedness and disaster recovery planning, diversity in employment, and other support programs.

HR Planning & Systems: Budget review of new position requests and organizational charts, HR communications, employee records, Banner HR functional customer support, data management and workforce reporting, project management, planning, change management, and special projects.
