The presidential search advisory committee for Roane State Community College met today to outline the search process and agree on a schedule for future meetings.

The Tennessee Board of Regents voted to increase tuition and fee rates today for the six universities, 13 community colleges and 27 technology centers it governs. The rates of increase are lower this year than in previous years.

The presidential search advisory committee for a new president of Roane State Community College has been selected and will meet for the first time Monday, July 9.

The meeting will begin at 12:45 p.m. EDT in the Dunbar Building Faculty Dining Room on the college’s main campus in Harriman.

Roane State’s current president, Gary Goff, announced in March his plan to retire at the end of October after leading the college for seven years. The new president is expected to be named this fall.

The presidential search advisory committee at Tennessee Tech University will meet Monday, April 9, to review applicants for the TTU president’s post at 10 a.m. CDT in the Eagles Nest at TTU's Hooper Eblen Center.

Committee members will identify leading prospects for consideration, select candidates for the first-round interviews with the search committee, and discuss interview strategies.

Faulkner will assume his leadership role at the college beginning May 15.
