Board of Regents and community and technical college presidents to hold Fall Retreat Oct. 17-18 at Fall Creek Falls State Park

Board of Regents to meet May 25

The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) and presidents of the community and technical colleges it governs will hold a Board/Presidents Fall Retreat Oct. 17-18 at Fall Creek Falls State Park near Spencer, TN.

Sessions will be held 12:30 to 5 p.m. CT Monday, Oct. 17, and 8:30 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in the Lodge at Fall Creek Falls State Park, 2536 Lakeside Drive, Spencer, TN 38585.

The Board will take no official action or votes during the retreat. Agenda items include presentations and discussions on accomplishments over the last five years, the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology master plan, current budget and future finances, workforce education, campus security, community and technical college articulation, technology in recruiting and retention efforts, and outreach and marketing.

 

The College System of Tennessee is the state’s largest public higher education system, with 13 community colleges, 24 colleges of applied technology and the online TN eCampus serving approximately 140,000 students. The system is governed by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
