The Tennessee Board of Regents will convene a special called meeting at 9:30 a.m. CDT May 27 to receive recommendations for presidential vacancies at community colleges and the director position at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Covington/Ripley. Scheduled to meet the same day will be the Audit Committee, Finance and Business Operations Committee, and Committee Chairs. All of the meetings are scheduled at the TBR System Office in Nashville.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 8, 2015) -- In an effort to keep costs down and identify more efficient ways of operating, Tennessee Board of Regents colleges and universities have identified more than $15 million in recent savings, most of which has been reallocated to programs to support student services.

The higher education system is also working with a consultant to identify savings through consolidating functions and collaborating on processes among the community colleges across the state.
