Chattanooga State Presidential Search Advisory Committee named; first meeting Feb. 10

The Search Advisory Committee members for a new president of Chattanooga State Community College have been selected and will meet for the first time on Tuesday, Feb. 10, following a public forum about the search.

The forum to discuss the criteria and search process will begin at 1 p.m. EST in Room 124 of the campus Omniplex.The Search Advisory Committee will meet at 3 p.m. in the same location to discuss the timeline and procedures for identifying finalists to become the next campus leader. Both meetings are open to the public and the media.

The search committee’s charge is to identify three to five finalists for the position of president who will visit the campus for interviews. Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan will then consult with members of the committee and make a final selection for submission to the Board of Regents for approval.

The committee will work with executive search firm Greenwood/Asher & Associates to help identify a broad range of highly qualified candidates from around the country. One of the committee’s first tasks at the meeting will be to decide on the schedule and procedures for identifying the finalists.
