Spectacular September: TBR celebrates four additional ribbon cuttings

The College System of Tennessee's fabulous fall celebrations continued over the last six weeks with ribbon cuttings to mark the completion of four new projects.

On Aug. 29, the College System joined local, state and federal leaders in Trousdale County to cut the ribbon on the new facility at TCAT Hartsville. This $38.8 million investment enhances opportunities for students to receive training needed for in-demand careers in cosmetology, dental assisting and building construction, among others.

The new academic building on the main campus of TCAT Athens, a $9.75 million project, officially opened on Sept. 14, and TBR leaders also joined with state lawmakers to celebrate the first-ever TCAT facility in Polk County, a $17 million project, that same day.

On Sept. 23, TCAT Pulaski celebrated the opening of their new facility in Giles County. The $30 million project includes classroom and lab space for the growing Allied Health, Cosmetology and Practical Nursing programs, and it will strengthen workforce development opportunities across the southern Middle Tennessee region.

The College System remains grateful to Gov. Lee and the Tennessee General Assembly for their committed partnership and generational investment in these and other communities across our great state!
