TBR Holds Quarterly Meeting March 28 in Nashville;  Student Leader Panel Addresses College Completion NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 21, 2014) — The Tennessee Board of Regents will meet in regular quarterly session at noon on Friday, March 28, following a panel discussion by student government leaders on student retention and college completion beginning at 10 a.m. in the Genesco Building Training Center in Nashville.The Board will hear reports from Chancellor John Morgan, presidents and directors, and approve minutes of the Finance and Business Operations Committee, Audit Committee, and Ad Hoc Committee on Committees.New business on the agenda includes revisions to several TBR policies, an overview of budget recommendations and a legislative update.Action items include:     1. Approval of recommendation for the director at TCAT – Morristown     2. Proposed TCAT program terminations, modifications, and new technical program implementations     3. Approval of new university degree programs     4. Revisions to the following campus student disciplinary policies     · East Tennessee State University     · Middle Tennessee State University     · University of Memphis     · Cleveland State Community College     · Columbia State Community College     · Jackson State Community College     · Nashville State Community College     · Southwest Tennessee Community College     · Volunteer State Community College     · Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology     5. Approval of the March 11, 2014 minutes of the special called meeting of the Finance and Business Operations Committee that includes a recommendation on mandatory and incidental fee requests; and also the minutes from the March 6, 2014, special called meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee on Capital Outlay     6. Additional recommendations on mandatory and incidental fees     7. Approval of revisions to the agreement between Volunteer State Community College and Nashville State Community College regarding primary service areas     8. Request to name the Strawberry Plains campus building at Pellissippi State Community College     9. Resolution of appreciation for Regent Steve Copeland     10.
