Seymour Elected to TNCC Board of Directors CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Cleveland State President, Dr. Bill Seymour was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Campus Compact (TNCC) at their meeting May 20, 2014 in Nashville, TN. Campus Compact is a national coalition of almost 1,200 college and university presidents - representing more than 6 million students - who are committed to fulfilling the civic purposes of higher education. Currently, there are 28 member colleges and universities in the state of Tennessee. TNCC is responsible for promoting campus-based civic engagement within our state. They encourage public and community service that develops students' citizenship skills, helps campuses build productive community partnerships and provide resources and training for faculty seeking to integrate civic and community-based learning into the curriculum. "Cleveland State has a very strong ethic of service learning" said Dr. Bill Seymour, Cleveland State President.
