Board of Regents Committee Chairs, Personnel and Compensation and Audit Committees to meet Nov. 12

The Tennessee Board of Regents committee chairs will meet Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026, to receive informational updates and reports in advance of the full board’s next quarterly meeting in December. The board’s Personnel and Compensation Committee and Audit Committee will hold business meetings after the committee chairs session concludes.
The committee chairs meeting will convene at 8:30 a.m. CT/9:30 ET, followed consecutively by the Personnel and Compensation Committee and then the Audit Committee. All three meetings will be held by teleconference and will be live-streamed on the TBR website at https://www.tbr.edu/board/november-2026-committee-chairs-personnel-compensation-and-audit-committee-meetings, except for a portion of the Audit Committee required by state law to be non-public. Agendas and materials for the meetings will be posted at the meeting link above.
The committee chairs meeting is informational, with no votes or official action. The agenda includes a presentation on community college bachelor’s degree options and previews of proposed revisions to TBR Policy 4.01.03.00 Tuition, Fees, Charges, Refund, and Payments - Community Colleges, and of the annual fundraising report of the Foundation for the College System of Tennessee, both of which will be presented at the Dec. 8 board meeting.
The Personnel and Compensation Committee will review and consider institutional compensation proposals. If recommended for approval by the committee, the proposals will go to the full board for its consideration in December.
The Audit Committee agenda has both informational reports and action items detailed in the meeting link above, including reporting on highlights of audit findings and recommendations, audit reports and reviews, systemwide internal audit updates, and review of annual audits and expenses for the college presidents for Fiscal Year 2026, and of salaries and budgets for internal auditors across the college system. Action items include review of revisions to Fiscal Year 2027 internal audit plans, of salaries and staffing for the TBR Office of System-Wide Internal Audit, and of a proposed conflict of interest management plan.
The next quarterly meetings of the Board of Regents and its committees are scheduled for Dec. 8 at the TBR system office in Nashville. Agendas and materials for that meeting will be posted at https://www.tbr.edu/board/december-2026-quarterly-board-meeting when complete.
