TBR Logo Creation Criteria (Sub-Brands)

As a large public organization, we often have initiatives or services that may rise to the level of requiring their own recognizable presence in the community as a sub-brand. When such a sub-brand is needed, it should reflect the primary TBR brand in a manner that promotes the initiative or service, as well as support promoting TBR and the system.

Not all initiatives qualify for a sub-brand. In order to qualify, an initiative or department should meet at least two or more of the following criteria:

  • Primarily serve an external audience, such as students, donors, business partners or community/government leaders.
  • Have an expected lifespan of five years or more.
  • Will be marketed/communicated to audiences solely under the sub-brand identity.
  • Have multiple sources of funding and/or operate as a consortium.

The eligibility of a campus organization to be awarded a sub-brand identity is determined by the Department of Government and Public Relations.

What doesn’t qualify?

  • Academic or administrative departments
  • Academic programs
  • Internal initiatives
  • Committees
