TBR quarterly meeting

During its quarterly meeting Friday, the Tennessee Board of Regents approved operating budgets and tuition rates for the upcoming academic year, capital budget requests for 2024-25, and appointed Heath McMillian as president of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Jackson.

McMillian came to TCAT Jackson in May 2022 as executive vice president to lead development of the BlueOval City Campus, and has been serving as interim president since October when former president Jeff Sisk was appointed executive director of the systemwide TBR Center for Workforce Development.

The Tennessee Board of Regents appointed a new director at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Morristown, heard a report from students on the Tennessee Promise scholarship program, approved changes in some student incidental fees and acted on other items on the agenda in its regular quarterly meeting Friday, March 31. 

The Tennessee Board of Regents approved new academic programs at several of its campuses and heard reports on enrollment trends and student success initiatives. Meeting in its regular quarterly December session in Nashville, the board also heard a report on satisfaction surveys of Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology alumni and their employers.

Members of the Tennessee Board of Regents discussed improved efficiencies within the Tennessee’s Community College System, approved a plan to offer reverse transfer degrees, and endorsed the system-wide 2015-2025 strategic plan, among other actions at its quarterly meeting in Nashville Dec. 11.
