Katie George Hooser

Katie George Hooser is the Chief Marketing Officer of IMC Logistics, the nation’s largest marine drayage company, headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, with operations at every major port and rail terminal in the United States. In her role, Katie oversees the company’s brand, public relations, digital marketing, and events, and leads its National Driver Recruiting Department.

A longtime advocate for the truck driver community, Katie built IMC’s centralized national driver recruiting operation, which hires approximately 1,500 professional drivers each year and connects workers in Tennessee and across the country to skilled, family-sustaining transportation careers. This work has given her a firsthand understanding of the workforce pipeline, from technical training to hiring to retention, that Tennessee’s community colleges and colleges of applied technology help supply.

Katie joined IMC in 2008 through its management trainee program and served in business development before founding the company’s marketing department, where she led the creation of IMC’s logo, websites, and brand identity and helped lead the consolidation of the organization’s operating companies under the single IMC Logistics brand. During her tenure as Chief Marketing Officer, the company’s revenue has more than doubled, growing from $450.5 million to over $1 billion. She was recently named one of the Memphis Business Journal’s “Super Women in Business” and one of its “Women Who Lead.”

Katie currently serves on the board of Palmer Home for Children and previously served on the board of Southwest Tennessee Community College. She was the youngest president in the 65-year history of the Memphis World Trade Club, and her community involvement includes the Neighborhood Christian Center and HopeWorks, a Memphis organization that provides sustainable work opportunities, primarily for those leaving the Shelby County prison system. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Emory University and an MBA from Christian Brothers University.

Katie, her husband Andrew, and their three children reside in Memphis, Tennessee.
