The Chattanooga State Community College community gathered on Friday, March 1, to celebrate the grand opening of its new Advanced Manufacturing Center.
The Advanced Manufacturing Center opened to students ready to explore exciting new career paths in January 2024. Industrial Electricity, Industrial Maintenance-Mechatronics, Computer Support Technician, Medical Assisting, and Administrative Office Professional programs are all housed in the new building, along with an expanded Student Services Department and 80 additional parking spaces.

The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security (TDOSHS) contributed $2.2 million in new state-of-the-art police radios and related equipment to Tennessee Board of Regents colleges’ campus police departments – a major improvement for the safety and security of our students and campus communities.
The new radios – one for each of the more than 200 campus police officers across TBR community and technical colleges – are part of a new partnership between TDOSHS and TBR - the College System of Tennessee to improve campus safety and security.
