Tennessee community and technical colleges leading the charge for seamless transfer in EV programs

A Regional Articulation Convening focusing on academic pathways in the electric vehicle (EV) industry between Tennessee’s community and technical colleges was held Oct. 20 at Jackson State Community College. The event fostered advancement in the areas of technical education and statewide articulation agreements by bringing together faculty and staff from both community and technical colleges to craft new articulation agreements that make it easier for students to transfer from one program to another.

Fall enrollment in Tennessee’s community colleges increased slightly compared to Fall 2022, ending a three-year decline during the pandemic

Tennessee Board of Regents quarterly meeting at Motlow State Community College

Enrollment in Tennessee’s community colleges rose one percent this fall over the fall semester of 2022, ending a three-year decline during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest enrollment report presented at the Tennessee Board of Regents quarterly meeting Thursday and Friday.

A total of 72,289 students are enrolled in the 13 community colleges this fall, compared to 71,804 in Fall 2022. Enrollment reached 88,946 in Fall 2019 but began a three-year annual decline in Fall 2020.

She was a great leader who cared deeply about her students and their success,” TBR Chancellor Flora W. Tydings said. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her husband and family and the campus community.”
