Learning Community Overview

This 7-week staff development opportunity continues TBR’s ongoing work funded by AACRAO and NASPA of creating a comprehensive student record which includes notation of specific student learning outcomes (SLO’s) in co-curricular activities. The learning community will provide hands-on application and enrichment that serves as a follow-up to the systemwide SLO trainings.

Participants will:

  • Meet 5 times virtually through Teams to discuss concepts as well as share best practices and challenges.
  • Create departmental or institutional plans that include:
    • List of Activities
    • Student Learning Objectives (SLOs)
    • Quality Assurance Strategies
    • Activity Assessment Plans
  • Engage online with peers across the state in four D2L modules that include exploration, discussion, and planning.

9/30 = Kickoff, Intros, & Creation of Student Learning Objectives
