Anthony G. Kinkel, current president of Wichita Area Technical College in Kansas, has been recommended by Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan as the next president to lead Motlow State Community College.

Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor John Morgan will recommend Youlanda Jones-Wilcox as the next director to lead the Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology at Covington and Ripley.

Pending approval by the Tennessee Board of Regents Wednesday, Tracy D. Hall is in line to become the next president at Southwest Tennessee Community College.

Flora Tydings is expected to be named the next president to lead Chattanooga State Community College pending approval by the Tennessee Board of Regents at a special called meeting on May 27.

The Tennessee Board of Regents will convene a special called meeting at 9:30 a.m. CDT May 27 to receive recommendations for presidential vacancies at community colleges and the director position at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Covington/Ripley. Scheduled to meet the same day will be the Audit Committee, Finance and Business Operations Committee, and Committee Chairs. All of the meetings are scheduled at the TBR System Office in Nashville.

In an effort to keep costs down and identify more efficient ways of operating, Tennessee Board of Regents colleges and universities have identified more than $15 million in recent savings, most of which has been reallocated to programs to support student services.

The Finance and Business Operations Committee of the Tennessee Board of Regents will meet at the TBR System Office in Nashville at 9:30 a.m. CDT on Thursday, May 7. 

Four finalists have been named to the short list of candidates in line to become the next president of Chattanooga State Community College. Each will participate in campus forums and community receptions next week.
