Mental Health First Aid for Higher Education

Learn how to identify, understand, and respond to mental health issues on your campus: deescalate a mental health crisis, identify suicidal tendencies, respond to a panic attack, and recognize addiction. Participants are expected to attend the full 8 hour training and will received certification in Mental Health First Aid, good for 3 years.

This course is for campus law enforcement, security, or other campus first repsonders. Registration is limited to the first 30 registrants; each institution is limited to 2 participants. 

When: Tuesday, March 5, 2019

8:00 - 5:00 pm CST (lunch on your own from 12:00 - 1:00 pm)

Where: TBR System Office. 1 Bridgestone Park, Nashville, TN 37214

This training is provided at no cost through a grant awarded to Mental Health America of TN. If you are located in Middle or West TN and are interested in bringing a similar training to your institution, please contact  cackley@mhamt.org
