SOAR Student Award Nomination Form
The President's office should collect the student nomination form and student application along with all required materials and submit using the form below once a finalist has been determined at the campus level.
- The deadline to submit is October 6, 2023
- Virtual Student Competition Date: Friday, November 3, 2023 (all regions)
- Final SOAR Competition (in-person): March 27-28, 2024

Award Specific Requirements
Community College/TCAT Student Award
- Have and maintain an overall, 3.3 cumulative GPA throughout the state competition.
- Exhibit exemplary service at the institution and throughout the community
- Exhibit exemplary academic accomplishment during enrollment
- Must have completed at least 12 semester hours at the nominating community college at the time of nomination or anticipated to have completed 450 clock hours at the nominating technical college.
