Interested in learning more about course design best practices? Your local TBR institution may have resources to hone skills in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), crafting Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs) and more.

High Impact Practices (HIPs) are strategic pedagogical approachs which require an investment of time and energy over an extended period that has usually positive effects on student engagement in educationally purposeful behavior (Kuh, 2010). High impact practices are evidence-based teaching and learning practices that have been widely tested and shown to be beneficial for college students (Kuh, 2008).

In support of this work, the Center selects annual HIP Ambassadors from a competitive process. These HIP Ambassadors hold connection calls to share their best teaching practices and answer questions from other faculty members.

Since Fall 2001, TBR has provided quality postsecondary education to Tennesseans who cannot complete their degrees without 24/7 online course access through the TN eCampus program. Learn more about TN eCampus.
